The Ileocecal Valve
The Ileocecal valve is a muscular ring found in the digestive system of the body. It separates the small from the large intestine and is responsible for controlling the flow of food materials from the small to the large intestine.
In the small intestine food materials are being absorbed by the body whereas in the large intestine the waste is being processed prior to elimination. It is the Ileocecal valve's function therefore to make sure that wastes do not stay too long in the small intestine or flow back from the large intestine into the small.
The valve however is prone to malfunction due to the action of certain antagonists upon the body. This initiates a cataclysm of reactions that may be far more consuming than you first think.

Malfunction of the Ileocecal Valve
As the valve malfunctions then toxic waste material is allowed back into the small intestine. The waste material present here is absorbed by the liver as if it were nutritious food. This produces a self auto-toxication of the body.
The immune system has to work hard to try to eliminate this toxic invasion and can become overworked and depressed. Toxic material that can not be eliminated must be stored, this usually occurs in the joints of the body producing an arthritic type of joint pain or discomfort.
In response to this reflex pathways maintaining structural balance can be affected inducing strain upon the body. Common areas of strain associated with the Ileocecal valve are the low back, neck and head, shoulder, big toes, and knee conditions.
Other symptoms can include dark circles under eyes, Right shoulder pain, Right side pelvic pain, Low back pain, Pain surrounding heart, Flu symptoms, Tinnitus, Nausea, Headache, Bad breath, Dizziness, IBS, Bowel disturbances (diarrhea constipation).
The disturbance in intestinal function obviously can give rise to localised conditions of the digestive tract although any symptom can exist entirely independent of any others.
The digestive tract is home to an entire society of bacteria, micro-organism and flora. Hundreds of types of these live in an ecological balance to promote the healthy functioning of the individual. As the valve malfunctions then this natural balance is disturbed and one organism, a yeast, proliferates at the expense of others, this yeast is known as Candidas Albicans.
Candidas Albicans
In normal conditions Candidas live quite peacefully, being kept in check by the other bacteria and organisms present and by the action of the immune system. When conditions are right however, then the Candidas turns into a violent invader, capable of spreading throughout the body by means of the blood stream.
The Candidas feeds off the body in a parasitic type of action, producing wastes of it's own which are toxic to the body compounding the effects of the toxins already present. This can often leave the immune system low, run down, and less vital making us prone and susceptible to other ailments.
What's the cause?
There are a few main factors involved in implicating the Ileocecal valve and the subsequent Candidas overgrowth.
Diet – Regular intake of caffeine, refined sugars, saccharins and other such artificial sweeteners, flavours, or stimulants all place the Ileocecal valve under stress causing it's malfunction. The common offending foods are usually chocolate, coffee, soft drinks and low calorie products. These offending chemicals often lie hidden in many “normal” foods.
Drugs – Antibiotics, pain killers and steroids, all destroy natural intestinal function inducing Ileocecal valve malfunction and subsequent Candidas overgrowth.
So what do I do about it?
The valve can be easily reset with Amatsu however unless the causative factors in it's malfunction are removed then its resulting effects cannot be stabilised.
Eliminate the offending intakes wherever possible, learn more about your stress cycles and begin to switch on a regular basis. Switching helps to balance the electrical potentials of the body raising its resistance to stress and Candidas.
By including some of the natural balance maintaining bacteria in your diet you can help maintain an ecological intestinal function.
Natural live yogurt contains Lactobacillus Acidophillus, is a very vital component in keeping Candidas in check.
